Getting here
Travelling from the east -
Travel along the A75 for approximately 55 miles until you reach the roundabout for Castle Douglas, take the third exit heading for Castle Douglas town (B736). Continue through King Street (A713). When you reach the roundabout at the town of the town, take the second exit onto Oakwell Road (A745) and continue down this road until you reach a set of traffic lights then take the first left onto Craignair Road (A711) in the direction of Dalbeattie. Before entering the town take the first right onto Port Road (A710). Continue along Port Road until you reach Barnbarroch and Kippford. Turn right into Kippford, continue down through the village until you reach The Ark shop and continue down Roughfirth (private road), Screel View is the third house on the left and the only one that remains granite.
Traveling from the west -
Travel along the M6 and come off at junction 22, take the A75 exit to Dumfries. Continue along A75, going through five roundabouts whilst staying on A75. At the sixth roundabout take the first exit at Garroch Business Park heading for Cargenbridge and continue along until you reach a roundabout, taking the second exit onto A711. Continue until you reach Dalbeattie and turn left onto the Port Road (A710)roadway signposted for Kippford and continue along Port Road until you reach Barnbarroch and Kippford. Turn right into Kippford, continue down through the village until you reach The Ark shop and continue down Roughfirth (private road), Screel View is the third house on the left and the only one that remains granite.
